Plant parenting is a nice trend to have. It allows people to be more mindful of the environment as it promotes caring and growing of plants. It’s basic knowledge that plants and trees are vital for the ecosystem. But there should be more mindfulness into it. Sourcing from the right growers and sellers should be looked into as there are still those who scam people with fake plants or mindlessly cut from an existing ecosystem just to gain a few bucks.
Furthermore, there are common plants that are apparently toxic to children and pets. Some research and asking around would do no harm so best to look into that. Here are also some houseplants we’ve looked into which are safe to help you decide on what to get.
According to Gardeguides.com, “The Prayer plant is listed as non-toxic on several websites for pet owners. It is also listed as non-toxic on the University of Nebraska Extension's toxicity pages and numerous individual state publications. It seems unanimous that the plant is not dangerous either through digestion or contact.”
Cast Iron Plant / Aspidistra elatior
