The Beauty of Minimalism

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” And what beauty is there in minimalism? Beauty in nothing?

Contrary to stereotypical belief, minimalism isn’t plain nothing. Minimalism takes from its root word “minimal” meaning taking everything at minimum as much as possible.

Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and to some, beauty needs foundation, contour, and highlights. But to some, beauty is minimal and that allows a subject to stand out more in its natural state, without control.

Beauty glows. And beauty truly glows and stands out when there is minimal noise and clutter. Serenity is the type of beauty minimalism is all about. Peace and relaxation are brought forth.

Even in taste, minimalism stands out in a way that the focus is on the main ingredient, highlighted by only a few other accompaniments making it a calming melody to the tongue.

Speaking of melody, music also offers a “clean” genre also known as classical music. It’s called classic because this is timeless in terms of bringing beauty to the listener’s ears.
